We here at Sohl Foot & Ankle are taking this corona virus outbreak very seriously. In an effort to mitigate the spread of this public health crisis, we are implementing and following directions from the CDC.
Patient visits are restricted to “non-elective” health issues. This definition is slightly vague, but we are interpreting this as foot or ankle issues that my be infectious, traumatic, or functionally debilitating in nature.
On the day of your appointment, you should expect a call from our office to inquire if the patient, close family members or care givers have had any recent bout of fever or cough, or have traveled to local infection hot zones. If so, we will kindly reschedule the appointment to a later date.
Prior to entering our office, personal hand sanitizer use is encouraged. If you do not have any available, guests are encouraged to wash their hands with soap for 20 seconds at our common use sink.
Your temperature will be taken before you enter the office.
When you are at the office, we will observe CDC recommendations to maintain increased social distancing. This means face-to-face conversations will remain at a minimum six-feet distance. The traditional handshake greeting will be avoided until this outbreak is under control.
The coronavirus can be spread when people are asymptomatic, meaning no signs or symptoms. Non-essential visits to our office should be avoided.
