Overuse Injuries of the Foot & Ankle

What is an Overuse Injury?
This is such an important concept for foot and ankle pain. Repetitive motions and forces cause wear and tear, literally. You don't need to be a runner or extreme athlete to get an overuse injury, you just need to repeat a motion thousands of times, over and over again... like walking.
Assuming you walk a normal number of steps per day (5,000-7,000 steps per day) for decades, there usually comes a point where things start to get a little worn out.
Sprinkle in a random event like a stroll on the board walk, or dancing in dress shoes at a wedding, or pulling an extra shift on concrete flooring, the next morning pain lets you know something is injured.
THE CAPTION NEEDS TO BE EDITTED eading to increased pain.
