Plantar Warts are a common foot skin condition. Not all warts cause pain, but some do when they overlie a weightbearing surface of the foot. Warts are caused by a virus that gets into skin cells, which means they can sometimes spread and multiply.

For the most stubborn warts, excision (cutting out) is a last resort measure because it leaves a scar the same size and shape of the wart removed.
