Out of Control Tinea Pedis.jpg

Athlete's Foot is contagious by direct contact and skin contact with contaminated surfaces.  It doesn't always itch.  And it won't resolve with regular skin lotion.

Let Sohl Foot & Ankle figure out if your skin is affected by this common critter so you can clear this up before the next barefoot season rolls around.

Fungal Infections on the skin of the foot or ankle is commonly known as Athlete's Foot.  It's caused by microscopic fungal organisms called dermatophytes.

These contagious organisms live and breed on the surface of the skin and cause symptoms like:

  • flaked skin

  • itchiness or burning

  • reddish rash

  • small pustules

  • moist skin in the toe web space
