Dry Skin Can Be More Than a Nuisance

Dry Skin (aka Xerosis) on the bottom of the feet can be a nuisance but also can cause problems. When the dry skin accumulates and thickens, small skin fissures can form. If untreated, the fissures can deepen which leads to a stinging pain.
Deep fissures can bleed and even lead to local infections.

Treating thick dry skin is important to restore the supple texture and resilience of the soles, and to prevent painful cracks from developing.

At Sohl Foot & Ankle, we personalize a treatment plan that works for you, with tricks and tips to help you conquer your treatment goals and get back to walking pain free.
